Message
It is my great pleasure to welcome you all to the Department of Al-Qur’an and Islamic Studies (AQIS) at the International Islami University of Science and Technology Bangladesh (IIUSTB).
AQIS is honored to be one of the premier departments of IIUSTB, offering an outstanding platform for students who seek to enrich themselves with authentic Islamic knowledge. The department is dedicated to imparting sound aqidah and comprehensive Islamic education in the light of the Qur’an and Sunnah, complemented by modern educational tools and facilities.
Our curriculum is meticulously designed in line with the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework, integrating both modern and Islamic knowledge using the modern tools of science and technology. This ensures our students are well-equipped to meet the challenges of the modern world while remaining firmly rooted in Islamic values.
AQIS are committed to delivering both academic excellence and moral development. We aim to nurture individuals of high integrity and competence who can serve effectively at both national and international levels. With a team of highly qualified faculty members—many holding PhDs and international training—the department stands as a beacon of scholarly excellence.
We envision AQIS becoming a unique and exemplary institution in Bangladesh and beyond, particularly in its commitment to authentic Islamic education, modern pedagogical practices, and moral development.

Our Mission
The mission of the Department of Al Qur’an and Islamic Studies under the Faculty of Religious Science is in contribute to preserving and caring for Islamic and Sharia related sciences, enhancing its values in the hearts of its students and preparing qualified persons in those fields, while not neglecting Arabic Sciences because it is at the core of the department’s curricula.
